Prayers to the Goddess with Nina Rao

Join us for a two-hour workshop exploring the Divine in her feminine form through traditional prayers, mantra, music, and kirtan.

In Prayers to the Goddess, Nina Rao will guide us through chants that invoke and honor the Divine Feminine — the Goddess in her many forms and qualities. Through these traditional practices, we explore the feminine expression of the Divine through chanting and devotion.

Nina will also share teachings from her time with her guru, Sri Siddhi Ma, whom she met in the foothills of the Himalayas in 1998 and spent time with regularly for 19 years. Chanting became Nina’s core sādhana — a source of focus and refuge, and a way of opening the heart.

Together, we will sing, listen, and explore prayers honoring the feminine expression of the Divine. No previous experience with mantra, kirtan, or Sanskrit is needed.
