Rhinebeck, NY: Heart Practice of Chanting

Bringing Chanting Into the Practice of Living

With Krishna Das and Nina Rao

Join Krishna Das for this half-day chanting retreat and devotional practice. This is a special opportunity to study with one of the foremost devotional singers in the world.

Explore the spiritual path with group chanting of the Hanuman Chalisas with Nina Rao in the early afternoon. Later in the afternoon, guided by Krishna Das, we revel in call-and-response chanting, stories about Das's beloved guru, Sri Neem Karoli Baba, and discussions about life, with plenty of opportunities for questions and answers.

Sharing his heart through music and chanting is the basis of Krishna Das’s devotional practice, his way of serving the divine within himself and others. In this chanting retreat, we can embark on our own devotional journey with him.

Online: GoDharmic Chalisas For Peace 2026

Join 108 global singers chanting 108 Hanuman Chalisas on Hanuman Jayanti 2026 in a 16-hour worldwide broadcast for peace.

On 2nd April 2026 (Hanuman Jayanti), Chalisas for Peace returns for its sixth year as one of the world’s largest global Hanuman Janmotsav celebrations.

For 16 continuous hours, 108 singers from over 30 countries will chant the Hanuman Chalisa 108 times in a worldwide online broadcast dedicated to peace. The gathering includes renowned kirtan artists such as Krishna Das, Nina Rao, Anup Jalota, Jai Uttal, and many other respected voices from across the globe.

Chalisas for Peace is organized by Go Dharmic, an international humanitarian organization inspired by the principle: Love All. Feed All. Serve All.

Sponsor a Chalisa

You may also choose to sponsor a Chalisa in honor or memory of a loved one. This is a meaningful way to dedicate your devotion to someone special while turning prayer into action.

  • Your name appears during the global broadcast

  • Each sponsorship directly supports humanitarian projects

  • Even a small contribution helps provide meals and essential aid

Chalisas for Peace is more than a livestream; it’s a coordinated global offering - 108 voices, millions of hearts, one shared intention.

NYC + Online: Chanting 108 Hanuman Chalisas

This offering is free but if you wish to support Tibet House who is offering this beautiful sacred space for the event, please bring cash to put in the box or donate online.

Participate in our tradition of chanting together in-person every year on the first calendar day! We’ve been doing this for over 21 years, with a break in 2021 & 2022 when we chanted virtually from our homes. You can watch the livestream on my YouTube channel (NinaRaoChant). Though we are able to meet in-person again since COVID, please take care of yourself and test/stay home if you are sick. Stay tuned for updates through my email list.

This is a free event, and we invite you to bring flowers or any easy-to-share vegan/vegetarian prasada to offer at the altar, such as fruits or nuts, which will be distributed through the course of the day. There will be some pillows for floor seating and chairs as well.

Words sheets can downloaded from my website’s lyrics section, and you may print them at home if you wish.
