About the Event

Join us for an evening of kirtan, music, and satsang with Nina Rao and Arjun Bruggeman to raise awareness and funds for saving wild tigers and their habitats across India -the Land of the Tiger.

India is the last viable habitat for wild tigers and one of the most bio-diverse regions in Eurasia. Protecting this ecosystem means safeguarding not just tigers, but also elephants, langurs, deer, birds, rivers, plants, and the sacred balance of nature itself.

This concert is a celebration of India’s living tradition of honoring wildlife as sacred embodiments of Mother Earth. Through intentional prayer, chanting, and community, let us come together to protect nature and give thanks.

Maui, HI: Thanksgiving Sunday Maui Satsang / Kirtan 2025

Krishna Das and his Friends return to Maui to continue the Ram Dass Legacy Thanksgiving Sunday Maui Satsang / Kirtan.

This year’s gathering will continue to serve as a Food Drive for the Maui Food Bank , as it has since 2006 when Ram Dass initiated the Thanksgiving Sunday Maui Satsang / Kirtan program at the then Studio Maui (2006 -2011), then moved the program to the Historic Makawao Union Church (2012 – 2018) and finally the Maui Arts and Cultural Center’s Castle Theater in 2019.

The program resumed after the Pandemic / Lahaina fires in it’s new home at the Napili Kai Beach Resort’s Aloha Pavilion, 2021 to current 2025.

This long standing Maui community gathering serves as a Food Drive for the Maui Food Bank and your generous organic canned / boxed food donations go a long way in supporting the Maui Food Bank’s mission of eliminating food insecurity for thousands of families within Maui County.

Participants are encouraged to bring their generous organic boxed or canned food donations that are collected in the Maui Food Bank Food Bins the next day.

Hanuman Maui and Dassi’s Bhaktique will be on hand to share her latest Bhakti goods, Krishna Das published works and Be Here Now Wearables just in time for the gift giving Holiday Season.

All sales from Dassi’s Bhaktique go to support Hanuman Maui’s mission of perpetuating Ram Dass’ Maui Legacy, their community services and programs.
